Feathers of the same kind, flock together
My father always used to remind me that I should not under any circumstances try to marry into a family with old money. You would not know what's in store for you, he warned. After an episode last week, I guess he is right. Fathers are always right.
My Boss's family is like the Hiltons of the East. So Old Mrs East Hilton decided to make her rounds in the office last week. You know while disposing some mooncakes for the office people, I guess it is because we are dying to eat her donations. Thank you very much. She suddenly took notice of me even though I had been rotting in that seat for a month. Fortunately for me, she was impressed with what she saw. Nope, not my work, but rather because she thought that I am such a pretty girl.
Hello, who are you? I am Old Mrs East Hilton.
Hi, I'm Fat Geek from the block. Me trying to turn on my charms at full speed.
Ah, such a pretty face, are you local? She started to hawk watch me like how a mother-in-law would to her future daughter-in-law.
Yes. Why did I see that question coming?
Oh you don't look local. You look Hong Konger. Hawk watch hawk watch hawk watch.
Where do you live? How do you travel to work? Where do you get your .......
A series of questions were thrown at me. Unfortunately, I gave the wrong answers to them. Technically, I should have said that I am their neighbour and my driver is on the way to pick me up so that I will be in time to attend Hermes' $40,000 bag launch. Instead I said that I lived in a public housing area where they cramp 2000 people in a floor area of 200 sq m, travel by public transport and get my clothes from Target. Very wrong. Very bad. Failed completely. Before I could finish my answers, she and her nose turned and walked off.
I guess I'm not worthy her Mr East Hilton Jr. Meow.

Ha ha! You don't want any kids named Paris? You could always name one Amsterdam or Tokyo instead.
